Each school participating in a Coursemojo course should have a distinct Canvas course. The easiest way to do this is to create a Blueprint Course on Coursemojo which will serve as your template course.
The content and settings in the blueprint course can then be pushed out to courses that are associated with the blueprint.
- Designate on of your courses as the "Blueprint Course" - no students will be assigned to this course since it is the template. Courses with rostered students cannot be converted into a Blueeprint Course. If you need help converting an existing course as a blueprint course, please email support at help@coursemojo.com.
- Under Course Settings > Course Details, select "Enable course as a Blueprint Course"
-
-
- You can choose to Lock Objects (locked objects cannot be edited in associated courses). You can lock objects in general (see above screenshots), or lock by detailed object type (see below):
-
- Once a course has been converted into a Blueprint Course, you should see a blue icon on the upper right corner of the course page
- You can now create blank courses and associate them to the Blueprint course, by clicking on that blue icon. All Blueprint course content will be synced to the Associated courses when you initially make the association (see video below)
- Any changes made to the Blueprint Course can be synced to the Associated Course by triggering a manual sync process.
- Click the blue icon in the Blueprint Course. You will be able to review unsynced changes before syncing.
- You can now sync! Best practice is to keep the "Send Notifications" box unchecked to not send alerts to people linked to the course.
-
Note: If you immediately view an associated course and don’t see any updates, the sync may still be in process.
