What is Coursemojo?
General Class Structure:
See this video for a Coursemojo overview. Coursemojo offers students online, synchronous classes over Zoom five days a week. Students typically have full group instruction three days a week and on the other two days students participate in small group support, office hours, and independent work. No matter the plan for class, students should always log into their class every day.
What do I need to do as a Learning Coach for Coursemojo?
Tech Setup:
- At the start of class, ensure students have the technology they need to participate in class. Each student needs a computer and headphones.
- Additionally, if your classroom has just one subject being taught and a projector, please project the teacher on the big screen. To join the Zoom classroom yourself, head to join.zoom.us and enter the meeting ID for your class. Let the online instructor (the meeting host) know in the chat that you're a substitute learning coach.
- If any issues arise, please email help@coursemojo.com.
Get Students in Class:
- Ensure students get seated quickly, open their devices, get headphones on, and begin logging into class.
- Help students log into Coursemojo's Canvas platform and the live Zoom lesson. See this video for student login instructions. All students should have headsets to use during the Zoom class.
Circulate & Answer Questions
- During class time, circulate through the classroom to answer any basic tech and login questions students may have.
- If you have wireless earbuds or headphones, we highly recommend syncing them to your computer so you can listen in on class as you walk around the classroom.
What do I need to do for my school?
Be sure to take attendance if required by your school. At the end of class, have students return headsets and loaner devices to their proper place.
