If a student submits a test prematurely in Mastery Connect, they won't be able to go back and fill in any answers they missed until you re-open the test for them. To re-open a test, you need to first grade the test (what you enter as the grade doesn't matter), then delete their grade from the Standard View page and re-open the test from there. Here are detailed steps:
- Find and open the tracker which contains the assessment. You can do this either by clicking Mastery on the left sidebar, selecting Trackers on the top, and then clicking on the course in question; or by clicking Mastery Tracker from within the course itself.
- Find the column for the assessment you need and the row for the student who submitted prematurely, and click Grade in the appropriate cell:
- Fill in grades for any questions that require grading, then click Score Assessment. It doesn't matter in this step what grades you fill in, since you'll need to grade their assessment again once they re-submit.
- Click the name of the assessment in the top row:
- Next to the student's name, click on any individual score and press the Delete/Backspace key on your keyboard, then press Enter.
- In the window that pops up, click Confirm. Do not check the box asking whether you want to delete their responses, unless you want them to start a brand new test.
- Their test should be re-opened, so they can now go back in and continue taking the test.
